The Start of Something Amazing.

Hi! My name is Loye, and I'm the founder of the Ryde Youth Project I'm a current Year 10 student, and i started this initiative with the simple thought that kept bothering me: There are so many young people who want to help, who want to be part of something meaninful, but there's no where for them to start.
I looked around my school and realised that, despite all the passion and energy students have, there simply wasn't just enough space for us to actually do something. We're constantly told that we the young people are the future, but when we want to take action now, whether it's through volunteering, leading change, or supporting cause we care about, it almost seems like the door is closed. Or worse, not even there.
So i decided to start one.
The Ryde Youth Project was born from this gap. I envisioned it to be more than just a group, but a movement powered by young people who want to make a genuine difference. We connect students with real volunteer opportunities, local charities, and projects where they can grow, lead, and create impact. Whether it's helping pack utensils for the homeless, raising awareness for important causes, or starting your own project, this is a safe sapce where your voice matters, and your actions count.
Starting something new is scary. I don't have all the answers. But what i do have i a strong belief that young people, when given the chance, can change the world around them. And honestly, i still believe that. I see it already happening with every person who joins, every message of support, and every small step we take.
The Ryde Youth Project is still in its early days, but it's growing fast. And i couldn't be more excited for what is ahead. If you're a student looking to get involved, a local organisation wanting to collaborate, or just someone who believes in the power of youth, reach out! This is only the beginning, and i'd love for you to be part of it!
Let's make this something amazing.
